Welcome to the website of Nicholson McShane Architects. We are a new, innovative Greenock based architects practice combining a high degree of professionalism and creativity with a down-to-earth approach. We're passionate about architecture and our aim is provide clients with a personal, efficient service whether your project involves a small house extension, a multi-million pound commercial development or anything in between. The practice is led by principles and chartered architects Douglas Nicholson and Paul McShane both of whom have a wide range of experience in the design and management of construction projects large and small.
Our broad experience and range of skills is backed up by an ethical approach to business which puts clients first. And our service is fully insured and regulated by our professional bodies, the Architects Registration Board, The Royal Institute of British Architects and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
We believe that the key to our success and our expanding workload is our blend of approachability, creativity and integrity.

NEW BUILD HOUSE, INVERKIP
Our new-build house in Inverkip is currently nearing completion. This modern build has been attracting a lot of attention and we're pleased to see the final touches being made. More details to follow.
HOUSE EXTENSION, INVERKIP
While we're in Inverkip, we are currently preparing the designs for a thoroughly modern house extension which will transform the spaces within the house and its relationship to the garden of the property. It shows that you don't have to add a large amount of space to achieve a radically improved layout.

TEAM ADDITIONS
December 2018
We have recently expanded our team to include architect Linzi Suttie and architecture student Daniel O'Neill. Linzi's experience of large scale projects in Glasgow, London and Birmingham adds another dimension to our service. And Daniel will be contributing his design skills and new ideas to our expanding and varied workload.
VISUALISATION SOFTWARE
April 2018
We have recently invested in advanced 3-d visualisation software so that clients can see photo realistic views of projects before a blow is struck on site. We will be showcasing this over the next few months and rolling it out new projects.
